As Israel’s campaign in Gaza continues, in what the UN has twice affirmed is a genocide, the “Board of Peace” is
planning to relocate selected members of the population to new
camps on the ruins of Rafah. Entry would
reportedly be limited to Palestinians who have been “vetted” by the
apartheid state, mirroring the GHF aid distribution sites of 2025, where Israeli forces repeatedly opened fire on civilians, blocked access, and
abducted Palestinians, including children, trying to get food.
Diplomats and NGO officials working in Gaza have
told AFP that such a mechanism is incompatible with international humanitarian law.
These are not humanitarian sites. They are tightly controlled camps designed to monitor, confine, and further concentrate Gaza’s population. Israeli newspaper Hayom cited leaked proposals describing a surveilled, checkpoint-controlled “planned community”, forcing Palestinians into what amounts to an Israeli panopticon.
The newspaper described the strategy as a “pincer movement”: as the Israeli military seizes more Palestinian land, the civilian population is concentrated into tightly controlled zones.
An Israeli political source also told
Hayom that the military intends to maintain “the pace of targeted killings while remaining below the threshold of international criticism… as long as Hamas is unwilling to disarm.” Over 1,070 Palestinians have been killed since the so-called “ceasefire” began, with an average of one child murdered by Israeli forces every day.
Today, after Israel expanded its illegal occupation to roughly
70% of Gaza, the remaining area in which around 2 million Palestinians are
trapped has shrunk to just 128 km². 83% of buildings have been destroyed here, forcing families to live in makeshift shelters and displacement tents with no realistic way to rebuild their lives.
Gaza’s population is being rounded up and forced into what amount to concentration camps while Israel expands its occupation around them.
This is how genocide continues. Not only through bombs, but through starvation, forced displacement, confinement and the destruction of any possibility of Palestinian life in Gaza.
You must take decisive action.
I urge you to immediately:
- Impose full, comprehensive sanctions on Israel.
- Enforce a complete two-way trade embargo, ending all import and export activity.
- Immediately end all arms sales and intelligence cooperation.
- Ensure unimpeded access for aid and humanitarian organisations.
- Demand an end to the illegal occupation.
